Dniepropetrovsk is cultural, business, educational and industrial center which located on the biggest river in Ukraine - Dniepr.
About 40 years till the 1990 Dniepropetrovsk used to be a closed city for foreign visitors because of space technologies researching here.
Dniepropetrovsk has 11 universities, academies and institutes which provide a high education.
Our city was established in 1776 year by count Potemkin and used to call Ekaterinoslav.
There is no conception "an old city" here, because most of historical monuments were destructed during revolution time and Second World War. Although a lot of them ( their age is about 150 years) are still adorn the main street called Karl Marks Prospect.
There are a few theatres in Dniepropetrovsk: Opera House, Drama House, Puppet - Show, many art and theatre's studios. We also have some museums: historical, ethnic museum, museum of art and so on.
They say that Dniepropetrovsk is the most green city in Ukraine with a lot of caffes, bars, restaurants and clubs for recreation and amusment.

Transport:
 You can reach Dniepropetrovsk by any kind of transport: by train, by plain, by car, by bus, even by ship.
International airport is located in 15 km out of city. The main companies are: Austrian airlines, Aeroflot, Ukrainian airlines, Dnieproavia.
